Infused water = easy + cheap + HEALTHY

We've seen millions of photos on Instagram or Pinterest of gym junkies and health-focused individuals and their infused water. They're always smiling, fit, tan, and holding up a rainbow in a bottle/jar. We think, "naw, that's cool", double tap, and keep scrolling. No more! If you haven't tried this at home, it's time that you do.

There are many different types of infused water. Some wake you up, some cleanse you (and aid weight loss), others provide you with nutrients your body is c-r-a-v-i-n-g. They're ridiculously easy to make, awesome to see in the fridge, and bloody delicious to drink - all year around (though you'll definitely be craving them more in the summer).

If you struggle to eat healthy, or don't like the "taste" of water, these are such brilliant alternatives. Even if you're lazy or just don't have time, these literally take a couple of minutes (or however long it takes you to chop veggies).

There's no limit to the type of things you can infuse - fruits, veggies, herbs and spices! The key is to find a good combination that'll feed your body with the goodies it needs.

As a starter, here are some of the benefits of these common fruits, veggies, herbs + spices:
Oranges: promote healthy blood circulation
Lemons: aid digestion (+ freshen breath)
Limes: reverse aging (major restorative properties for hair, skin + nails)
Raspberries: anti-inflammatory properties
Grapes: contain cancer-fighting properties
Apples: maintain healthy bones and tissue
Rhubarb: decreases chance of blood clotting (contains vitamin K)
Strawberries: brimming with anti-oxidants
Pineapples: anti-inflammatory (aids in relieving joint pain + arthritis)
Kiwi: highly alkalizing (tackles excess acidity)
Watermelon: alkalizing, antibackterial, antioxidant, anticoagulation, serves as a diuretic, laxative, and digestive aid (also fights depression)
Cucumber: hydrates + flushes out toxins, reduces bloating
Ginger: boosts the immune system
Cinnamon: boosts metabolism
Mint: promotes digestion (activates salivary glands and digestive enzymes)
Rosemary: anti-inflammatory, aids digestion

Basil: anti-inflammatory + antibacterial

Here are some combinations you might want to try out, depending on what you're after:

- strawberries + watermelon
- orange + lemon + ginger
- cucumber + raspberry + grape
- rhubarb + apple + cinnamon
- strawberry + lime

- sliced apple + cinnamon stick / powder

- sliced lime + orange + lemon
- blueberries + organe
- cucumber + lime + chopped mint leaves + strawberry

As you can see, some of these combinations to a combination of things! It's like hitting 10 birds with one stone (no animals were harmed in the writing of that sentence).

Quantities depend on the bottle/jar you use (try to use glass), so adjust to taste. You can never really add too much. If the flavour is too strong, you can always just had more water. It's recommendable to let these guys sit for about a day before drinking, otherwise the flavours will be dull. Trust me.
